Gutsy Sisters Shall Arise

By Zulumathabo Zulu © 2017

To blossom, in a decade
Despite winds, like a blade
Adversity, sandpapers them
Teaching us, to embrace the cause
They gain transcendence
After navigating the difficult terrain
Door of success, is ajar
To toast the milestones, thus far
Formidable exercise
Gutsy sisters shall arise

Schematic forces in the terrain
Must transcend the fierce mundane
To preserve the direction
A feeble signal, accepted
To enhance, the melanated
Shell-shocked children, received
Equipped, before leaving the nest
Formidable exercise
Gutsy sisters shall arise

Contextual Commentary

An input brain structure, known as the thalamus, receives the stimulus input from the afferent sensory system. After boosting the signal strength, the stimulus propagates to higher brain structures for further processing. As a result, the thalamus acts like a relay station that ensures that the signal is strong enough for processing.

It is imperative that the signal boost does not alter the signal information other than to ensure that the signal is strong enough to be received and processed by other parts of the brain. This is an important consideration for the survivability of the organism so that it can make informed decisions based on the fidelity of the input from the environment. A distorted impression of the environment is enough to terminate the survival experience of the naive organism.
